Dr. Bethany Gratson, D.M.D.
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Beth grew up in Hopewell Township, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Hopewell Area High School where she graduated in the top 10 students in her class. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University – Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2011.
After obtaining her dental degree, Dr. Beth went on to further her education by completing a two year Pediatric Residency at Miami Children’s Hospital, which is ranked as one of the top ten children’s hospitals in the nation. There she received advanced training focusing on the treatment and care of childhood oral disease. Dr. Beth is able to treat patients using a variety of techniques including in office, use of nitrous sedation, and hospital dentistry (general anesthesia) if needed. She is also trained in the use of a CO2 laser to perform lip and tongue tie releases from infant to adolescent age.
Dr. Beth Gratson is a board certified pediatric dentist. She is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also on staff at both the Spring Ridge Surgi Center and the Tower Health Reading Hospital.
Dr. Beth loves visiting the beach, volunteering, spending time with her husband Dave, and watching her sons Paxton and Maddox at their sporting events.
Dr. Michael Santarsiero, D.M.D.
Dr. Mike grew up in the Scranton area and attended the University of Scranton, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his DMD, graduating summa cum laude, from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Mike completed a one-year general practice residency at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he was inspired to focus on preventive care.
After two years of practicing as a general dentist, Dr. Mike chose to specialize in pediatric dentistry. He completed his specialty training at the highly ranked Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. During his residency, he gained experience in providing comprehensive dental care for children with special healthcare needs and craniofacial abnormalities, as well as managing dental trauma. Dr. Mike is a board-eligible pediatric dentist and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Mike is excited to serve patients in the Reading area. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, traveling, and making new memories with friends and family.
Jessica Gutierrez
Office Manager
Jessica grew up in Queens, New York. She took an opportunity on a job working at a dental office and fell in love with the field. To think that was over 11years ago says a lot.
Jessica is currently living in Sinking Spring with her husband Eldon, their 3 sons Eldon Jr., Ermias, Evan and their dog Chloe. She enjoys the little bit of quite time she can get reading, but her favorite things is going on adventures with her family and friends.
Heidi Nickischer
OR Coordinator
Heidi grew up in Wheeling, WV and received a bachelor’s degree from West Liberty State College. After more than 20 years in office related and management positions, she joined the Pediatric Dentistry of Reading team as Office Manager when the office opened in September of 2016. Heidi transitioned into the specific role of OR coordinator in October 2023. Her position helps assists families who opt for sleep dentistry to make the process as streamline and easy as possible.
Currently, Heidi lives in Douglassville with her husband, Dan, daughter, Alexa and their dogs Brady and Bosa. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling and stays active by walking her dogs and running.
